Dr. Giovanny Destin, DO, is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician who believes exceptional care starts with clear communication and real human connection. For him, nothing beats the moment a patient leaves feeling genuinely better than when they walked in. After years in hospitalist medicine, he founded Reclaim Direct Primary Care to eliminate the friction that stands between patients and real care across Burleson and the surrounding communities in Johnson and Tarrant Counties.

His path here wasn't a straight line. Before medical school, Dr. Destin spent five years as a high school science teacher at Polytechnic High School in Fort Worth and Arlington High School—a chapter that still shapes how he practices medicine today. Teaching taught him how to break down complex ideas and meet people exactly where they are, skills he now brings to every patient conversation. A first-generation Haitian American who grew up in Upstate New York, he went on to earn his medical degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center (Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine) and completed his residency at Louisiana State University (LSU) Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. He has served the Fort Worth community ever since as a physician at both JPS Health Network and Texas Health Huguley.

Dr. Destin specializes in adult primary care and chronic disease management, including diabetes, hypertension, heart failure, obesity, and high cholesterol. Today, he blends his background as an educator with extensive clinical experience to deliver care that is collaborative, approachable, and deeply grounded. He prioritizes taking the time to ensure his patients feel understood, respected, and empowered as active partners in their own health.

Off the clock, Dr. Destin wears the proud title of "the cool uncle" to his nieces and nephews. You can also find him logging miles on a run, hunting down the best local food spots, or exploring new travel destinations with his wife.
